An intuitive approach to gathering
Connection has never happened on its own. It begins with an invitation — a seat kept open, a cup poured for a stranger, a song that finds the room, a game whose rules outlived the hands that wrote them.
These are old practices, drawn from the gathering traditions of the African diaspora and beyond. We build them into spaces that need life.

Ceremony — Project for Empty Space
A ritual-based experience centered on the Ethiopian coffee ceremony, conversation, and cultural tradition, hosted within an institutional art space.
Joy at Home — Newark Arts Festival 2025
10-day residency that turned a ground-floor commercial space in Newark's historic Military Park Building into a six-room immersive gallery and hospitality suite. → 1,260+ visitors · 24 artists, 16 local vendors · 50% repeat attendance · collector acquisitions and citywide press, with no paid marketing.
Reset — Mercer, Newark
A two-month-long cultural residency transforming a residential space at The Mercer into a listening room, gallery, and gathering space — eight distinct programming formats across the run. → 950+ visitors at an ~85-person capacity · 50% repeat visitors · 60% local · proof that intimate, recurring programming sustains an audience over months, not one night.
