In October 2025, The House Blend: Joy At Home transformed a commercial space inside Newark’s historic Military Park Building into a six-room art environment that felt like both a gallery and a home. As an exclusive VIP hospitality experience for the Newark Arts Festival, the 10-day residency welcomed over 1,260 visitors, 24 artists, and 16 local vendors into an immersive setting that blended art, music, wellness, and community.
Designed as both an exhibition and a sanctuary, with the genre of House Music as foundational element, the space featured curated installations, scent and sound design, daily coffee and tea service, open studio hours, yoga, sound baths, DJ sets, intuitive coaching, live performances, and local business partner activations. Despite no major marketing campaign, Joy At Home became one of the festival’s most talked-about experiences—drawing city officials, collectors, cultural influencers, and community members of all ages, and affirming Newark’s appetite for inclusive, art-driven third spaces.
As part of the Newark Arts Festival—one of the region’s most respected cultural events dedicated to uplifting local talent—Joy At Home advanced the festival’s mission while demonstrating what joy, care, and creativity can look like when thoughtfully embedded into the rhythms of home.
The comprehensive retrofit reduced manual handling by forty percent, optimized energy consumption, and provided executives with real-time performance dashboards.
